The Horse racing will take place on the 28th of October.
“Alright lads this is a respectable event and we will all behave accordingly.” -Thomas Shelby.
During the thirteenth lustrum, Gyrinus natans will go full Peaky Blinders style as we will be visiting the horse racetracks in Wassenaar! Horse racing is an equestrian performance sport, typically involving two or more horses ridden by jockeys or driven over a set distance for competition. It is one of the most ancient sports and its basic premise – to identify which of two or more horses is the fastest over a set course or distance – has remained unchanged since the earliest times.
We will experience the world of horse racing to its fullest during the final meeting of the championships on October the 28th. A bus will pick us up in Amsterdam and bring us to Wassenaar where we will enjoy a day full of sport, luxury and maybe even a little gambling. Gambling? Yes! One of the reasons this sport is still so popular lies in the gambling associated with it. So, if your financial situation allows it and you would like to maybe win some cash money dough, do your homework and find out for yourself which horse will be your lucky horse and place your bets. After this extraordinary day, we will be safely taken back to Amsterdam and we will be a special experience richer.
Do not forget! The dress code for this occasion will, of course, be ‘posh’. And remember: “Do not f*ck with the Peaky Blinders!”
You can get yourself a ticket for only €12,50 per person. Tickets for non-members (if there are still spots available) are €16,00 per person. The tickets include bus ride back and forth, entrance and a tour around the horse racetracks.
